ArkSlick VFR-5501
A powdered viscosifying anionic friction reducer (FR)
It is developed for use in fresh water to high brine base fluids. The product is highly elastic, which provides superior proppant suspension compared to conventional anionic polyacrylamides as well as guar slurries. ArkSlick VFR-5501 hydrates well under high shear and provides immediate and sustained viscosity and friction reduction performance. ArkSlick VFR-5501 demonstrates improved viscoelasticity and similar viscosity when compared to a standard guar slurry, both of which play an important role in proppant carrying capacity. As a high viscosity friction reducer (HVFR) powder, ArkSlick VFR-5501 combines the proppant carrying capacity of cross-linked gels with the pressure reduction of traditional slick-water treatments into a single versatile product.
