- Cost-effective
- Typically run at 100 – 1000 ppm
It can be used as an oxygen scavenger for treating boiler water, fracturing and drilling fluids. ArkScav O2-1000 quickly eliminates oxygen from solutions, thereby disrupting the corrosion process by which oxygen influences the corrosion of steel in neutral and alkaline aqueous media.
The effectiveness of ArkScav O2-1000 was examined in 30% CaCl2 solution, a typical base drilling brine, under ambient conditions. Magnesium oxide was added to buffer the system to pH 10. Dissolved oxygen concentrations were measured before and after the addition of ArkScav O2-1000. Results indicated that ArkScav O2-1000 was an effective oxygen scavenger even at very low dosing rates.
