Research and Innovation is an integral part of Arkon Solutions. The department is the scientific and technical bridge for the company. The R & I team supports sales, production, procurement, and customers. They are principally responsible for research of new products, product development, product improvement, technical support for sales and their customers, quality control, regulatory affairs, and personnel training as requested.
The R & I Regulatory group is/ are support function for the entire company and are heavily involved in their research and development process identifying any potential hazards which may be associated with current products or products under development. They work with various governmental entities to ensure the corporation is complaint with all relevant regulatory matters. Regulatory also ensures the required environmental hazard testing is done for the specific products which require this testing. In addition, the group is responsible for publishing and maintaining current product Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Arkon Solutions’ main warehouse and distribution facility is located in Calgary, Alberta and is home to 75,000 square feet of dry internal storage warehouse space and 12 acres of external storage. Staffed with dedicated shipping and receiving staff, and equipped with multiple loading docks. We are capable of storing and shipping all of your blended chemical needs. To meet the demands of our customers, we opened a strategically located blending and warehousing facility located in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Safety is always top priority at Arkon Solutions. Our safety policy is intended to protect our employees, customers, property, the environment and the public. We are a Certificate of Recognition (COR) program certificate holder, issued by Energy Services Canada, and as such, Arkon Solutions is committed to ensure that all applicable legislation is incorporated into the safety program, always in compliance with that legislation. We are an active member of ISNetworld. We do conduct full audits every three years with self-administered action plans for years in between.
Everyone in our professional family is responsible for maintaining the safety program. Managers and supervisors are responsible for identifying safety needs, communicating safety hazards, investigating hazardous conditions and accidents, properly tracking safety related situations, providing training, supplying, or wearing appropriate safety and personal protective equipment, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and meets legislated safety standards. Their role is supported by input from all employees.
Arkon Solutions’ manufacturing facility has 80,000 square feet of dedicated manufacturing space. We are capable of chemical blending in both powder and liquid forms. Volumes range from 200 litres up to 40,000 litres per single blend batch with packaging capabilities as small as 4 litre jugs up to bulk tanker filling. Our facility is equipped with extensive bulk product storage capabilities. Internal and External bulk tanks with capacities from 17,000 litres to 110,000 litres allow us to both receive and ship product by bulk truck tanker. We are setup to load powders into bulk tankers for bulk powder shipments.
Blending is performed by highly trained operations staff who combined have decades worth of chemical blending experience. On-site Engineering and Automation staff allow us to continuously evolve and build custom solutions to meet all customer chemical blending and packaging requirements. All products go through strict in-house quality control measures performed by our highly trained laboratory staff to ensure all product meets your expectations before they are packaged and leave our facility.
